Project: Town Bicycle Routes

Friends of Pathways, in conjunction with Alta Planning and Design and Jackson Hole Community Pathways, has been working on a plan for bicycle routes within the Town of Jackson. The draft plan defines bike routes, lanes, and boulevards that use existing streets, for quick implementation and low construction cost. A key focus of the project is to define safe and efficient routes that connect residential neighborhoods with key in town locations and the county wide pathway system while avoiding motor vehicle traffic. The plan contains wayfinding components that will help users navigate safely and efficiently through town.

At 3 pm on Febuary 19th the Town will host a public workshop to review the draft routes and to discuss wayfinding options. The results of the workshop will be used to complete the draft plan, which will include implementation and maintenance chapters. Our goal for this project is for the bike routes, which are mostly composed of paint and signs to be completed this summer.
