ALERT: GTNP Pathway from Gros Ventre River to Moose is completed and open as soon as the snow clears until snow covers the pathway in the fall.
The next Phase II of the Grand Teton National Parks Pathway is now under construction from the Gros Ventre River to Moose, Wyoming.
This will add approximately 6.2 miles to the Park Pathways, and connects directly to the Teton County North 89 Pathway that is also under construction from the Town of Jackson up to the Gros Ventre River. The project will feature a Highway 89 underpass at Moose Junction to safely connect the pathway to Moose.
The Phase II construction cost is approximately $4.4 million. It is being paid with funds from several prior Congressional appropriations for Grand Teton National Park Pathways.
The project is anticipated to be complete by spring 2012. When completed, a safe separated pathway will be fully complete from the Town of Jackson to Jenny Lake, a one-way distance of over 20 miles with fantastic views of the Teton Range, the National Elk Refuge, and Grand Teton National Park.
