Greater Snow King Area Trails Network

Friends of Pathways is an official partner in the Challenge Cost Share program with the United States Forest Service and Bridger-Teton National Forest.  This partnership funds the Greater Snow King and Teton Pass Area trail crew and trail maintenance work.  This program has been very successful to help address the rapid increase of trail use in these recreation areas.

This successful partnership between Friends of Pathways and the Bridger-Teton National Forest dates back to 1995 and continues to grow. The first year, many volunteers worked in Cache Creek to repair trails, install wood bridges to reduce stream bank damage, and construct an accessible boardwalk trail to the picnic site along Cache Creek. Every year since then, Friends of Pathways, many volunteers and USFS recreation staff have continued and expanded efforts to support sustainable trail systems close to the most developed areas of Jackson Hole.
