Trail WorkNew singletrack, well maintained hiking and horse trails and quality signs make backcountry travel more enjoyable for all users.  Unfortunately, today’s federal budget climate has given the Bridger-Teton National Forest fewer resources to build and maintain Jackson Hole’s public land trails.  Friends of Pathways knows that our valley’s trails are key to Jackson Hole’s quality of life.  Therefore, we have committed to raising $30,000 to support building new trails and maintaining existing trails on Teton Pass and the Greater Snow King Area.

With your help, we will be able to:

  • Provide support for the Order of the Arrow Honor Scouts during their week long volunteer efforts to construct trails on Teton Pass.
  • Fund the Educational Trails Ambassador Program to educate all trail users about respectful and responsible use.
  • Design and Print an updated map of the Teton Pass Area to include all new trails and re-routes that are to be completed this year.
  • Enable the Scouts to build the Arrow Trail and the Phillips Ridge Trail, which will consist of 7 miles of new trail on the north side of the pass, designed specifically for mountain bike use with the goal of separating horseback riders and hikers from mountain bikers.  The Scouts will also complete the History Trail and the Big Rocks Trail, designed for horses and hikers only.

Your gift will directly support the construction, labor, tools, and planning needed to build new trails.  If you enjoy good dirt, please contribute to the “Invest in Dirt” campaign!  Please visit the “how to contribute” tab to find out where to send your donation. Thank you!
