Over the last two weeks, Friends of Pathways has helped organize more than 150 hours of volunteer work from local schoolchildren to benefit Town of Jackson and Teton County pathways! Each summer, Camp Jackson (Teton County Parks and Rec), Teton Science Schools, City Kids, and other programs set aside certain days for summer camp kids to help with service projects around the valley. Already, the pathways have seen kids ranging from 1st to 5th grades helping us with sweeping, weeding, garbage pickup, mutt-mitt station cleanup, assembling bike shelters, and more!

Camp Jackson's Woolbuggers handing out free bike bells, leashes, and biscuits in our ongoing efforts to promote safety on all pathways, and remind users that dogs must be leashed on all Town of Jackson pathways.
The Explorers use kid power to sweep the Millennium Pathway (Wilson to Trail Creek).
Rockhoppers sweeping, washing, and picking up garbage on the Garaman and Schools Pathways.

FoP's 'City Kids' intern Dwight Deloatch and the Teton Science School's kids helped assemble bike shelters at Colter Elementery and Jackson Hole HS and pitched in to sweep the pathways in Indian Trails.
We are always looking for more help; if you, your friends, or your co-workers have any interest in offering your time to support pathways maintenance projects, please contact Mike Welch, Stewardship Director. We'll be out with various groups all summer; if you see the volunteers on your pathways travels, give 'em a 'nod of thanks!
