Priscilla's Spot
You might easily overlook it, but there's a beautiful, quiet little spot at the end of the Moose-Wilson Pathway, perfect for taking time to reflect on life in the Tetons. Set on the bank of Granite Creek is a bench dedicated by FoP supporter Gretchen Long as a memorial to her daughter Priscilla. The land for the rest stop has generously been provided by Bill Resor and the Snake River Associates.

High runoff and flows in Granite Creek have jeopordized the creek's bank and memorial, so with quick action from Dan Leemon at the Teton Conservation District, work was done to remove signifcant material from the creek in order to re-channel the heaviest flow away from memorial bank. The 'Priscilla's Spot' is temporarily closed, but depending on flows the memorial should be re-opened in the next few weeks. Later this fall, FoP will coordinate with Dan again, to implement a more permanent solution and potentially reinforce the banks of Granite Creek.
Raffle Winner
Congratulations to Justin Tatosian, winner of the Felt Cruiser bike generously donated by Hernando Parda and Hoback Sports.

Look for Justin around town, and give him a thumbs-up, as he's going to outfit the bike with baskets and use it for a town commuter, 'picking up groceries, beer, and mail'!

New Bob Trailer Modifications

You may have heard word trickling out about the new FoP Stewardship program, and as part of that, we've outfitted several Bob Trailers with some custom modifications to better carry maintenance items, including brooms, shovels, clippers, and other asssorted tools. With the ingenuity and assistance of Drew Gillingwaters at GH20 Machining, and a gift of 24 Thule cradles from Scott Fitzgerald at Fitzgerald's Bicycles the trailers can more efficiently carry essential items for the Stewardship Program. In coming weeks, we will be building up an Ambassador Program and looking for volunteers who are interested in helping maintain our amazing network of pathways throughout the valley. For more information, or to inquire about becoming a volunteer ambassador, contact Mike Welch , Stewardship Director.
