The RDOG program from PAWS has kicked off another campaign reminding the community that its efforts to 'scoop the poop' are appreciated but asks everyone to remember that when mutt-mitt bags are left on pathways, trails, parks, or other public areas, that's littering. So please respect your recreational areas - it's not up to Teton County Parks and Recreation, Jackson Hole Community Pathways, or Friends of Pathways to remove your litter - including used mitt-mitts - it's your responsibility!
Trash receptacles are provided throughout the pathways system, at all parks and fields, and most trailheads - please dispose of your mutt's mess, so that others may enjoy clean and safe public areas. Thank you, and enjoy!

thank you for tryin to motivate folks to be responsible pet owners. it's frustrating to me, not being a pet owner & being a parent of young children, when my kids & i are enjoyin the pathways and my child wants to pick up some doggie ditty bag or a littered cigarette butt. i wonder sometimes if any non-poop scooper dog owner would mind if i left my baby's diapers along the trail instead of packin 'em out w/ me immediately. i think a great improvement would be that the doggie ditty bags provided by RDOG & PAWSofJH be bright orange instead of forest green- orange would be more visible year-round.
