Jackson Hole's first ever Latino Bike Day was a GRANDE success. Up to 75 people attended the Saturday morning event co-hosted by Friends of Pathways and the Latino Resource Center. With the help of mechanics from Hoback Sports and Fitzgerald's Bicycles, the Memmer family, and other volunteers, many Latino community members were assisted with safety gear and bike tune-ups.

The Event was the inspiration of Stephanie Thomas at Friends of Pathways, working in partnership with the Latino Resource Center. Along with area bike shops, the Jackson Whole Grocer, Kiwanis and Pearl Street Bagels helped support event costs. Over 50 helmets were fitted for children and families, provided by Friends of Pathways and WYDOT, and supported with a grant from the Recreation District and a generous private donor.

All ages enjoyed a social family friendly event set up in front of Hoback Sports. Volunteer Jorge Colon and his son Ciel helped with Spanish bicycle skills lessons for children on a bicycle rodeo course.
